Get Authentication
Authentication helps you detect and safeguard against suspicious activity. Some examples of when authentication is necessary include depositing a large amount of checks, withdrawing cash, or transferring amounts from one account to another. Authentication types can be determined by the financial institution and are parameter driven. SSN, Driver License, ID Card, and Signature Card are common authentication types.
During the transaction, enter the method used to authenticate the person requesting the transaction and the accompanying document ID number. The authentication type and the document ID are noted and kept with the transaction for future review if needed. The document ID is only displayed in the archived transaction.
From the transaction page, click Authentication to display the pop-up window. Select an authentication type from the drop down or manually enter one. Then, enter the document ID. The document ID can be up to 20 characters and may include the following symbols: dash (-), number sign or hashtag (#), colon (:), and spaces. For example, if Jane S. Customer provides her driver's license as proof of her identity during a transaction, select or enter Driver License in the Authentication field. Then, enter her driver's license number in the Document Id field. Click Cancel to return to the transaction page without saving changes. Click Clear to clear any entered data. Click Save to save the authentication information and return to the transaction page.
After Save is clicked, the Authentication card on the transaction page is populated with the authentication information. The Document Id is masked. Click the icon to unmask the Document Id on the transaction page if desired.
Navigate to Transactions for more details about actions that can be performed during a transaction.
